Jeju Island

Jeju Island is a Volcanic Island of oval shape with a surface area of 1846 Sq Km, situated 130 KM from the southern coast of S Korea. Jeju is the largest island of South Korea. Jeju Island is best place for those who love`s the nature.

Jeju Island is full of awesome and awe-inspiring sights that include Hallasan Mountain, Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, Geomunoreum Lava Tube system, great sandy beaches and a dormant volcano with 360 satellite volcanoes around the main volcano and. Jeju Island has also been declared as one of the seven new wonders of nature.  There are more than 365 oreums- small mountains found across the island.

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is situated between the state of New York and the Canadian province of Ontario is one of the greatest water falls in the world. Niagara Falls is in fact three different falls, the American Fall, Bridal Veil Fall and the Horseshoe Falls. Though Niagara Fall is not the tallest waterfall in the world, more than 168,000 cubic meters of water go over the Crestline of the falls every minute during peak hour. The Height of American Fall and Bridal Veil Fall ranges between 21-34 meters while the height of Canadian Horseshoe Falls is about 51 meters. Until 1912, visitors were allowed to actually walk on the Ice Bridge and view the falls from below.

In the evening Niagara Falls look fabulous with different shades of color due to intense spotlight bathe. The falls make tremendous sounds as it fall down. Niagara Falls is one of the most visited places in USA and Canada.

Statue Of Liberty

Statue Of Liberty “depicting a women holding a torch in her raised right hand and a tablet in her left hand” is the symbol of the friendship between the France and United States Of America and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. Statue Of Liberty is erected atop on a small island in upper New York Bay and dedicated by the then President Grover Cleveland in 1886. In 1924 it was declared as a national monument.

The Statue Of Liberty was a combined effort between France and United State, Americans were responsible to build the pedestal and the French people were responsible for building the statue and its assembly here in the United State. The French sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi created the statue and Gustave Eiffel – the man behind the Eiffel Tower, designed the statue` s steel framework. Initially statue was built and assembled in France, then disassembled and shipped to Ney York in 1885.

Statue Of Liberty is about 93 meters tall (including the height of pedestal) and around 31 tons of copper, 125 tons of iron was used. Statue Of Liberty sway up to 3 inches and the torch up to 6 inches in wind. Due to lack of fund, various fund raising activities had been done in France and United States.    

Christ the Redeemer

Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and was the largest Art deco Statue until 2010 when it was topped by the Christ the King statue in Poland. The statue, a symbol of Brazilian Christianity was completed in the year 1931. The idea of building a religious monument was first suggested by a catholic priest Pedro Maria Boss to honour Isabel, princess regent of Brazil. All the parts of statue were built in France and then transported to Brazil.

The Statue of Christ the Redeemer is located in the Tijuca National Forest, on the top of Mount Corcovado at the height of 704 meter. The Statue is 38 meter tall standing on a pedestal of 8 meter and the arms stretch to 30 meters. The arms of Statue are stretched out towards the city, as if blessing the land. The materials used to build the statue were reinforced concrete and soapstone. The statue of Christ the Redeemer weighs around 635 tones and approximately $250,000 had been spent to complete the project in 1931.  

The Statue of Christ the Redeemer is a top tourist attraction in Brazil, attracting nearly 2 million tourists and locals each year. The Statue of Christ the Redeemer has been chosen one of the Seven New Wonders of the World by the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2007.

Roman Forum



















The Roman Forum is one of the World`s most popular monuments, built 2,000 years ago at the peak of Roman Empire. In ancient Rome, the forum was the centre of the Roman Empire. The Roman Forum Plaza has temples of gods, monuments of great rulers, Senate other government buildings, community forum, The Regia- the royal residence and the Tabularium, where the records were kept.

In the around Forum, the city was also home to markets, shops, taverns and Termopolia (a type of restaurant of ancient time). For more than thousands year, forum was the centre of various activity and political heart of Rome. In short Forum was the centre of life in imperial Rome. 

It was only in eighteenth century the excavation work begun in the area and Forum was rediscovered. The Roman Forum as of now surrounded by remain of many buildings from different periods. Many of the ancient and most important structure of the ancient city were located on or near the forum.
