China

China is most populous and third largest country in the world occupying an area of 9,600,000 sq km, spanning vast desert in the west to the ocean in the east. China has one of the richest and a textured history goes back to the ancient civilization. With a vast territory, beautiful land and a long history, China is always appealing to adventurous foreign visitor. A broad range of landscape and weather shape it abundant natural attractions.

Some of the popular attractions in China are The Great Wall of China, The Forbidden City, Terracotta Army, The Yellow Mountains, West Lake, The Yangtze Lake, Li River, Victoria Harbor, Giant Panda Breeding Centre, The Bund, The Potala Palace, Yungang Grottoes, Silk Road, Beijing and Shanghai.

The Great Wall of China: The Great Wall of China is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the UNESCO world heritage site. Construction of the wall was started in 7th century BC, with additions and rebuilding continues till 6th century AD. The Great Wall is longest wall in the world covering over 8850 KM (5500 miles). It is an awe inspiring feat of ancient defensive architecture.





The Yangtze River: The Yangtze River is third longest river in the world coursing a distance of almost 6300 KM, coming through the mountains and the cities from the west to east and merge into the East China Sea near Shanghai. The river has the wide variety of outstanding tourist attractions, such as beautiful scenery, lush green hills and narrow canyons with sheer rock cliffs.





Shanghai: It is one of the China`s largest and most cosmopolitan cities, located in central-eastern China, facing the east China Sea. Shanghai is a beautiful city incorporates traditional Chinese and 21st Century architecture. Shanghai is popular for its buzzing night life, shopping’s and lots of tourist attractions.


The Yellow Mountains: The Yellow Mountains is popular in China for its outstanding natural beauty and a UNESCO world heritage site. You can see natural wonders at The Yellow Mountains in winter- the sea of clouds, oddly shaped rocks, hot springs and snowcaps.





Silk Road: Silk Road of China is a historical route of more than 2000 years old, starting from Shaanxi province in east and stretches to Rome in west, passing central and west Asia, bank of Mediterranean Sea and Europe. Total length of the road is about 2485 miles and over half of which is within China.


Food: Roast Duck, Fan Tuan, Dim Sum, Rice, Noodles, Egg Tart, Hainanese Chicken (Rice with Chicken and pork stock),

Climate: Due to massive size of China, climate varies from one region to another. Northeast and central China is Hot & dry during summer and very cold during winters, in southeast there is plenty of rainfall, semi tropical summer and cool winters. Best time to visit China is in spring (March- April) and autumn (September- October).
